Samsung LNT3253H 32" LCD HDTV




For:



1. Brand name. Samsung is a very well known name in world of electronics. All the "consumer reports" recommend to buy it, and it's not overpriced as Sony.



2.. Nice looking case. Samsung has the best looking case and that's a fact! Well almost, to be honest Sony XBR2 has the best looking case, but Samsung has the best looking affordable case!



3. Size. The 32" has probably the best quality of picture among all larger TVs. Any larger on an LCD HDTV and the picture for standard definition TV will get fuzzy. And one more thing at 32", it doesn't seem that you are compensating for anything.



4.Lots of holes!. You can plug-in almost everything you own into the back of this Samsung: HDMI, DVI, PC, and multiple sets of all the usual suspects. There's also a set of holes hidden along the side.





Against:



1. Again brand name. You'll pay a bit more for Samsung models than for a less known brands which will perform just as well.



2. LCD. If you have darker room, then plasma will behave better. Tweak the picture settings on this LCD, though, and you can have a satisfactory picture all day and night long.



3. Cool case. It's shiny. That means it will reflects light in a lit room. Be careful how you position this LCD in relation to your windows and lamps. The best position would be, if you're having windows and lamps behind it or to the side, and not directly across from it. Otherwise, the reflections dancing along the case can become very distracting while watching boring movies :)



4. Factory settings. Standard definition TV looks really bad in the factory settings. So you'll have to play with the brightness, sharpness, contrast etc. to get a decent picture.



Bottom line, if you're in the market for a 32" LCD HDTV, you've found the right one. The image is excellent and it is truly the best deal.
